This is a DECALOGUE I wrote many years ago, when I was just married and was starting my career assisting my admired Fred Rogers and in the radio. Still it works for me and my family, even my grandchildren!
-1-
Listen to classical music in silence
(not only as background music)
-2-
Let it accompany you at home
(with any pleasant activity: cooking, drawing ...)
3-
Choose different music according to the occasion
(every time needs its own kind music)
-4-
Avoid listening to music at loud volumes in your electronic devices
(by the way it is not healthy)
-5-
Attend recitals and concerts
(you can find many affordable good opportunities out there)
-6-
Go to music performances with enthusiasm and well prepared
(it is more enjoyable)
-7-
Be aware that a concert is an extraordinary occasion
(it is)
-8-
Talk about music, discuss it with family and friends
(share)
-9-
Respect the feelings expressed by everyone attending
(everyone of us listens with its own ears and sensitivity)
-10-
Admire artists
(they deserve our gratitude)
